This is one of the three paintings I finished THIS month!
I am learning how to think abstractly, which is very different than thinking realistically or even impressionistically.
This was a fun painting to make using sketches and crayons to plan it. It doesn't look very much like my crayon sketch, but that just means I have ideas for more paintings, LOL!
This painting began with a simple shape drawing of a palm tree. From there, added and altered lines and then colors. The process is very different than I learned through the MoMA Collage class and cubism.
